History :
In 17th century, American Quarter Horses were developed in today&rsquos Eastern United States, Native American breeds were crossed with Thoroughbred which was imported from England and hence American Quarter Horse breed came in existence. Colonists used this horse breed for work and recreation both. American Quarter Horse participated in &lsquoFlat racing also&rsquo. Later in 19th century, when colonists expanded over West, this breed were crossed with Mustangs also in Great Plains, there this breed showed its &lsquocow sense&rsquo.
