God has created this world for all creatures and living things to live happily in harmony. Humans, animals, insects, plants, and all living things have the right to livelihood in this beautiful wide world in their respective homes.

For street dogs, the street is their home.
According to Law they should not be disturbed or killed.
People for Stray is a registered trust for stray animals. Who needs our help for their treatment, fostering and care. Basically we do medical treatment, fostering, on-call & OPD.

Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, as amended from time to time, provides that if any person beats, kicks, over-rides, over-drives, over-loads, tortures or otherwise treats any animal so as to subject it to unnecessary pain or suffering, he shall be punishable with fine and/or imprisonment.

There is also a law that According to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Animal Birth Control Rules of 2001, only dogs that are mortally ill or wounded can be euthanized.

To protect the humans from street dogs and to protect the dogs from human harassment, animal shelters should be established and they must be taken care of. The issue of street dog's harassment can be resolved if such shelters are given for street dogs.
