History :
Tennessee walking horse were developed in Central Tennessee in late 1800s for use on plantations & farms. Mixture of breeds combined like Narragansett Pacer, Canadian Pacer crossed with gaited Spanish Mustangs gave existence to Tennessee horses. Later in 1886, some other breeds were also added. The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' Association for this horse breed was founded in 1935.
